With its new delivery centre, Krone offers all-round modernised processes and great services during collection: Significantly more intuitive processes enable shorter walking and driving distances, as well as shorter waiting times. In the spacious, pleasantly designed waiting area, drivers can browse through trade magazines and help themselves to coffee and soft drinks. The modern sanitary facilities are accessible outside business hours, too. There is also free WiFi across the entire premises.

1. TERMINAL

The driver enters the building where he encounters two terminals in the reception area. He selects the desired language and retrieves his ticket with a waiting number and a QR code.

2. SCANNING THE CODE

The driver can scan the QR code on the ticket with his smartphone or tablet and is taken to a browser-based website in his previously selected language. From here, the status of the pick-up can be tracked in real time – regardless of where the driver is on the premises. If he does not scan the code, he simply enjoys a comfortable wait in the waiting area for his call to come through.

3. CALL

As soon as his number is displayed on the screen, his smartphone or tablet, the driver makes his way to the counter to register.

4. HANDING OVER THE DOCUMENTS

Here, he presents his collection authorisation and photo identification. After receiving the vehicle documents, the driver waits for a request to enter the premises.

5. ARRIVING ON SITE

When his waiting number appears on the notification screen or his smartphone, the next Krone employee is ready for the vehicle handover outside. Now the driver can use his ticket to trigger the entry barrier and drive onto the premises. At this point, the Krone employee receives this information and greets the driver at the trailer.

6. VISUAL INSPECTION

The final visual inspection is carried out on the vehicle by the staff and the driver together. Thanks to the help of a Touch Book, the report is immediately recorded digitally in the language chosen by the driver and confirmed by him. This unlocks the code for the exit.

7. DEPARTURE

The driver leaves the site with a new trailer to continue his onward journey.
